CHELSWORTH VILLAGE OPEN GARDEN DAY - JUNE 27TH 2010, THE LAST SUNDAY IN JUNE.

** 43rd Year **

For over 40 years, the residents of Chelsworth in Suffolk have opened their private gardens to the general public on the last Sunday in June in order to raise money for the repair and renewal of their tiny church.

This year, the village hopes to raise enough money to complete the repairs to the East Chancel gable wall and roof of the ancient All Saints Church.

Chelsworth is a picturesque, sleepy old village situated in the beautiful Brett Valley just a few miles from Lavenham and is considered by many to be one of the prettiest in England.

There will be plant and gift stalls, refreshments, musical entertainment from the 50-strong Hadleigh High School Swing Band, and Morris Dancing performed by the Belchamp St Paul set.

Entry to over 20 gardens is just £5.00 per adult (car parking & children free), open from 2pm to 6pm.

Chelsworth is located on the B1115 midway between Sudbury and Stowmarket.
